I made a ten minute YouTube video about men and the draft in the US. My lack of speaking skills is probably unbearable, but I thought I'd share it with you guys anyway.

I am a Swede, we got rid of our draft in 2010. When the decision was made to end the draft our minister of defence Sten Tolgfors, a man who himself had been a consciencious objector and opposed to conscription publicly stated that this decision meant the end to the last institutionalised discrimination against women.

That's right, here's a man who had been subjected to a violation of his rights due to his sex, but he chose to refer to it as a slight against women. This is how deeply entrenched society is in misandry and gynocentrism. Oppression of men is just another form of discriminating against women. No politician or journalist called him out on it. Not a single one!

Damn why is that everyone acts like they were deeply affected by conscription in this subreddit? It's like the gender card that gives everyone a boner. Since 'nam there hasn't been a draft. The military learned that a volunteer military is much more effective. The draft is a back-up plan, just in case shit gets unbelievably real.

The craziest part is that once you get in the military, you hear it all the time about how awful it is that women are being let in. During my time, guys wouldn't shut up about how much better things would be if the military wouldn't allow women. Outside the military, guys complain about how much it sucks that there aren't enough women in the military.

I don't even know what's real sometimes. Nothing makes sense!
