TL;DR - Good guy game <<<<< aloofness + social proof. I"m putting on my red hat, and I don't know where to go from here.

I'm fit, fairly charismatic, and pretty good at getting people to talk about themselves. I'm genuinely interested, I can make people feel like there are the most interesting person in the world, and I'm an interesting person myself. It's consummately easily for me to be a social butterfly.

My friend is pretty charismatic, pretty unreactive, not as attractive, not as well dressed or fit, and somewhat social proofed. He also breaks rapport a lot more than I do, is somewhat more dominant in how he treats women, is much more dismissive than me and doesn't care about whether the other person feels good - if it happens it happens and if not he's going to find the next person who's interesting.

We A/B tested the same girl with our styles of game.

I got blown out of the water. All of the things i had going for me paled in comparison to his game and the fact that the host was his best friend.

Veronica talked to my friend first for a while. Then I eventually talked to her. She complained to me about how my friend was an asshole and "I did awesome things A/B/C why isn't he more impressed"?
Whenever I've read something like this here, I've always felt like there was some degree of exaggeration. My jaw fucking dropped, and this was when I knew I'd been beaten.

I hate it, because so many of more core beliefs were based on the idea that people inherently obeyed the golden rule, and men and women 'sure, have some differences, but it can't be that stark, right?'

Veronica was interested in me, somewhat, and I bet she saw me as something of a long term kind of guy.
And so did Mel, who 'is apparently going on a cleanse and has decided not to drink'.

It kind of makes me bitter, dudes. I'm sort of a black-and-white kind of person, and I'm frustrated.
How do I recalibrate without losing hope and hating the world?
