So...

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-10-16/young-woman-avoids-jail-for-stabbing-sex-offender/4315832

She was 16. Had a voluntary relationship with her cycling coach. No report of force/violence. Mother finds out and calls police. She then somehow turns from willing girlfriend to hate-filled victim who stabs him. He became a registered sex offender for having a relationship with someone of reproductive and lawful age to have sex (but he was her coach, which the law doesn't like), got stabbed IN FRONT OF HIS KIDS, and she walks free.

She then claims to have been "punished very hard".

Male: silly enough to date her while her coach, branded a pervert for life, stabbed in front of his kids. Female: convicted but no jail time and a $500 fine.

I don't know all the facts, but given what was reported, it just doesn't make sense.

Dating a willing person will get you a life-long punishment, but THE SYSTEM can turn her into a victim, she can stab you (and you almost die) and psychologically scar your kids, and she gets no jail time.
