What discrimination favouring men? There isn't any to compare the discrimination for women WITH.

That second link is a joke of an article with a completely incompetent feminist style piece of "research". I mean did you read the survey questions they said were a measure of sexism? The test itself is not only ridiculously ambiguous but reeks of feminist sexism. It's utterly useless as in an so-called "research" based on it.

Yes, that is classic feminist logic in a nutshell.

Modern society loves "affirmative action" for a variety of reasons, but the term is nothing more than a euphemism for discrimination. Instead of discriminating against one race, religion or gender, affirmative action discriminates against all but one (or a select few) race, religion or gender.

When it comes to gender, there are only two of them. Since feminism is considered right and proper by society, discriminating against men in favor of women is viewed as "affirmative action" and a good thing, rather than what it is.

And what it is, is bigotry and oppression of the male gender.

The first article is what you might call empowering. I don't see an issue with articles like these, but it eventually gets a bit much. Where are the articles celebrating male nurses and single and stay-at-home fathers and receptionists?

We will have finally reached equality when the government skews things so far in women's favor that men lag behind in all conceivable areas of life. Even then, feminists will say that men are lazy and stupid (exactly what white slaveowners said about black slaves) and that this is exactly why feminism is needed, to "fix" these stupid and lazy men.

I don't think these articles are making the point you think you're making.

In the first article, women get the job more easily than men because they have a biological advantage (not mentioned in the article). But women do have a much improved ability to see details in pictures. So the tone of the fluff piece is totally reasonable.

In the second article, there is no biological reason why an equally skilled and experienced man would make a better lab managers than a woman. So a little bit of a sense of unfairness in the tone of the article is expected.

Of course, the "science" in the second article is very suspect. And I wouldn't be surprised if there were 1000 fluff pieces that show women being inherently better at a particular task for each fluff piece that show men being inherently better at a particular task.

So if you could find statistics like that, then you'd have a real point. But here, you've got nothing.

I think we have enough to worry about with lower life expectancy of men, higher suicide rates for men, unfair treatment in family court, ludicrously harsh child support laws, unfair treatment in criminal cases, over representation in prisons, under representation in college, etc.. etc..

We don't need to invent trivial bullshit. We have real issues to worry about.
