Birth rape!?

Alright this was a horrible thing that happened if it's real, but to call it rape and not fraud and malpractice is trivializing rape itself.

Seriously? Is anything bad that happens to a woman going to be called rape now?

"My boyfriend made me drive him to the store when I could be out with my girlfriends. Vehicular rape!"

"My husband took me to a restaurant that I didn't want to go to! Restaurant rape!"

When I saw this title I was appropriately horrified. I am so tired of people trivializing rape. rape is a horrible, reprehensible crime. When you cast false allegations or say things are rape when they aren't, it trivializes what the trauma that the real victims have to live with.

There is so much wrong with that story, I can't even begin to believe that it is true. She later says:

Nothing ever really happened. I got my records & they're a mixture of lies and missing information. Like it says that once I was in the OR, I was monitored, which I wasn't.. and it says that after being monitored in the OR, the c/s was discussed, but it doesn't say who was in on the discussion. There's no straight explanation for why I required surgery. There's no mention of any post-op exams either. No attorneys would accept me as a client. I filed a complaint with the ACLU, and never got a response. I filed a complaint with the state medical board, and never got a response.

Even if I were to believe that doctors would be so careless as to risk their license in performing this c-section against someones will, to not visit the patient afterwards, and not discuss even that she had a surgery with her....I can't believe that EVERYBODY refused to take this case.

From what I understand, it is very difficult if not impossible to give birth vaginally after a c-section due to scarring from the incision. The mother was undoubtedly told this and she jumped from doctor to doctor ignoring their advice until she found one that would humor her. The doctors of course have the responsibility to watch out for the life of the mother and the child. I suspect the doctors let her try until it became dangerous to the child and then acted responsibly and performed the c-section.

I'm pretty confident that story is bullshit. Anaesthesia is kind of risky... I think something like 60% (or was it 30%?) of things that go wrong during surgery are due to the anaesthesia. Doing it to somebody against their will, when they haven't signed a liability notice or consent form or anything..

What she alleges they did is illegal as fuck, and also stupid as fuck. I find it difficult to believe that hospitals would open themselves up to that sort of liability, for apparently no reason.
