Ah yes Gloria Allred, the feminist who gave us the gem of wisdom "If you're not a feminist, you're a bigot; you're either for equal rights or you're not", which manages to commit a trifecta of stupidity with a false dichotomy, an equivocation, and an assuming the consequent.

Feminism:

Staunchly opposed to free speech.
Pushes for worse penalties for the gender they aren't.
Considers 'innocent until proven guilty' a hinderance.
Dominates our educational system with one-sided propaganda.
Calls anyone who resists a hate group.

I'm no fan of Limbaugh, but that statement frightens me.

He promotes language that deliberately dehumanizes his targets. Like the sophisticated propagandist Josef Goebbels, he creates rhetorical frames--and the bigger the lie, the more effective--inciting listeners to view people they disagree with as sub-humans. His longtime favorite term for women, "femi-Nazi," doesn't even raise eyebrows anymore, an example of how rhetoric spreads when unchallenged by coarsened cultural norms.

That's what we call projection, sister.

Fez is hilarious. And I agree, that's the cause of the attacks and negative labeling the movement and this subreddit get. They know they're spouting some real bullshit and don't want it to be known on a wide scale.

I'm just going to say it, let's please not rush in defense of Rush. Call me paranoid, but I see feminists trying to use things like this as bait so we can come to his rescue and then be lumped into the same bigoted category as him. Yes, the arguments toward free speech have some weight, but this seems like a trap that would totally sully the movement and turn a guy like Rush into some sort of representative for what we stand for (in the eyes of anyone paying attention). Guys like Rush DO NOT fight for equality. Not for women, men, minorities, or the poor. He's only looking out for a specific type of person. He's not interested in Men's Rights at all, so please don't turn him into a martyr.

I don't want to be associated with that guy, and I see him as a total net negative. Just my 2¢
