You're picking the wrong fight here.

They are not demanding Free Birth Control. They're demanding that thier employers not be able to deny them birth control through their insurance provider. Many of these women need birth control for reasons beyond simply "not getting pregnant" for health reasons.

Calling this woman a slut, for demanding that women have access to a basic part of modern healthcare is signifigantly more insulting than calling a man a player, for demanding free access to condoms.

Rush, was as usual extremely out of line. Likewise so are you.

And somehow you think that if a prominent person used an ad hominem against a male over the same issue it wouldn't be as big of a deal?

I agree it might be less of an issue in the media, but it certainly would be equally retarded.

I think you are combining multiple, separate issues here. Is the word "slut" acceptable to use as an insult? Are ad hominem attacks valid arguments? Is there a difference between using ad hominem attacks against women and against men?

I don't generally agree with him and all the other gasbags, but I have to agree with this statement:

That pretty much encapsulates my viewpoint on the subject. If she thinks birth control is her RIGHT, then what about the starving people who have more important issues? What about their RIGHT to eat? Is the govt supposed to provide sustenance to all humans in America? Where do you draw the line? Her right to birth control ends at my wallet as far as I'm concerned. If she cannot afford BC then she should be keeping her legs shut, plain and simple. Or keep having sex, but accept the consequences.
