How should I reply to this, posted on my female friend's facebook. She's not usually this sexist.

That's not necessarily sexist. And it's true, punctuation is powerful.

Though, the second one doesn't make sense because it switches the tenses around. A woman, without her, man is nothing. Okay, "Man" doesn't mean "Men" though, it can mean "Mankind" but that includes women to. But whatever, so mankind is nothing without a woman, fine, which woman? Not every woman, just one because it's singular. So all of mankind is dependent upon one unknown woman?

Isn't the male punctuated version just as sexist as the female punctuated one? I don't really see a problem, it does illustrate the importance of punctuation, which seems to be the only conclusion it's going for.

This is mildly sexist towards both genders, and does point out importance of punctuation. Don't see what the problem is specifically.

I think you are taking the idea out of its intended context. If she is as well, then call her out on it.

This one's relatively minor. If she usually doesn't post stuff that you would consider pointed, then it's likely she intended it as a lighthearted joke. I'd suggest to treat it as such unless it becomes a pattern.

You're only seeing the sexism towards men and ignoring the sexism towards women. Try to be more open minded and next time you won't be so offended and miss the point of the joke.
