On another board I just saw two people claim thingsarebad is a racist , now he may be more pissy than your average bear but some form of white supremacist ?? I think not , turns out there proof was him saying that he resented the fact that pride in being black was acceptable but being proud of being white made you something close to satan , basically it was such a bad attempt at misrepresentation that aerik would have been proud .

It got me thinking though , and the pride in being white is something that should be looked at , as a Scot I have many different scots i can be proud of , from bell to macintosh and beyond all good men who did a lot of good things .

Culturally we need diversity , so much comes from african and asian cultures, but in embracing them we shouldnt deny our own there was a big kerfuffle in recent years about losing little things like christmas etc to be PC and its having a negative effect.

We have many people who are frustrated and its in many ways similar to the idea of being proud to be male , it doesnt mean you see any less value in women, it just means you see value in yourself as well, we have to be careful, to label someone a racist is a serious charge, one that demands the upmost proof, to use it as a weapon to shame people into being quiet when it is not actually true is damaging and it devalues it.

We need to be a bit more careful as witch hunts like this are beneth us.
