Funny that there were quite a few responses form women and women that believe in their version of feminism that says it's just about the power to choose that life and not have it foisted on you. Then you read the comments here and it's as if the post was filled with "real" feminists that came out of the woodwork to admonish this woman for wanting to do that. Feminism didn't kill that fucking dream. This is just stupid.

Every time this is mentioned the view that having an old-fashioned relationship and being a feminist is not something that is mutually compatible.

Because it's true. You want to have your cake and eat it too, it espouses double standards and in doing so just makes you a hypocrite.

Flip things around and see how you feel about it: imagine a guy is all about men having hookup culture, video games, and all that as a way, but says he wants a traditional relationship where the woman cooks & cleans for him and defers to his wants & desires. Doesn't that sound "off" to you?

Choices for women and responsibilities for men.

Read through that thread and it becomes obvious that women see men as wallets and beasts of burden and emotional supporters/emotional tampons.

Notice how they all seem entitled to have a provider. I can imagine how most of these conversations go with their bfs/husbands. I bet their roll over because they just want her to be happy.

I dont think feminism has killed that just yet, quite alot of older men like the old fashioned ideals when it comes to relationships, good thing I like older men ;) Most guys my age (19) expect their girlfriends to mother/provide for them and I personally can not handle that at all. 1950's relationships make me horny... hahahahaha!
