I'm upset that female teachers are still getting away with this in the year 20099. All joking aside this is more of the same. Men are evil perv scum and women can rarely do any wrong.

If the genders had been reversed (and the article had been proof read) it would have read

"He approached the girl at a high school sporting event in October 2009 and lured her to a storage room where the the rape occurred."

A friend of mine was sexually molested by a female gym teacher, and the woman received no punishment. I strongly believe that were the teacher male, the school would have actually done something. I hate this double standard so much.

The real question is, would jail time help or harm in this case (regardless of gender). To be honest I'm not sure, but one thing I do know is that our prison system is both incredibly costly, and very fucked up.

For non-violent offenses I would rather err on this side (for everyone obviously) than err on the prison, screwed for life so they continue being criminals because they can't get a job method.

Yeah, is this a double standard? What kind of sentence do men receive in Ohio for an Alford Plea?
