Very very bad wording probably. They most likely mean taking advantage of someone who is asleep, drunk, perhaps under drugs. I think what they mean is perhaps non-violent rape.

Non-consensual sex without violence, generally.

Think statutory rape, or raping someone who's asleep or drunk, something like that.

Rape without overt violence.

This includes statutory rape, sex with someone unconscious or blind drunk, or sex with coercion, like "If you don't have sex with me I'll fail you this semester", or "If you don't take your pants off right now I'll show your parents those photos your ex emailed me".

128 forcible rapes at Harvard? One would think there would be more of an uproar about this, especially since the country's elite is victimized. It means 1.2% of female Harvard students are forcibly raped (during their 4 years there)!? Don't know what the stats for female prisons are, but I would assume those are safer.

Is this based on actual convictions or something else?

Edit: Cambridge, MA gets ~10 rapes/year, according to their own police statistics. That's where Harvard is.

Numbers on the dailybeast are complete bullshit.

Since the majority of "non-forcible rapes" are committed at Stanford and Princeton, respectively 20 and 7, I venture to guess that a "non-forcible rape" is a rape perpetrated by an Asian male.
