Interesting post if it's true (though I'm not entirely certain I agree that the primary carer should apparently be unable to include the care work when working out financial contributions), but something about it feels odd. The poster seems to have a pathologically overblown sense of entitlement combined with an uncanny way of phrasing things in such a way that they appear entirely not in her favour. I know the internet contains some serious nutbags, but in all it reads more like someone's astroturfing.

A couple of years ago, the father of my children was laid off and wasn't making his full payment, so I got a order to have him held in contempt and to get his his tax return.

Nice setup for the story line, but odd to include. Why the detail? Why make it sound like a textbook child support related MRA complaint?

I spoke with an attorney and she said that I can't count my whole rent as going toward them, because I live there also. I can only count the difference in rent for a one bedroom and a two bedroom apartment, which is only $150. Also, only a small percentage of the utilities, food, and anything that I would normally be using if I didn't have the kids.

Again, odd to include all that. I would've expected something like "but apparently all the money I spend on them doesn't really count!", not a cold and distanced list.

They are treating me just like their father, saying that I cannot claim anymore expenses than he can.

Seriously? Again, very weird that she'd provide such perfect ammunition against herself.

Their father is calling it equality that that some guy he met on the Internet is teaching fathers how to do this.

Seriously? I don't even know where to start with this one.

In short, it reads like someone wrote a paragraph of the most frequent complaints why the child support system is fubared, added the most stereotypical description of a selfish abuser of the system, included all the arguments against such abuse, then slapped two or three sentences around it to phrase it as a question.

This is how child support should work, 100% of the time. Both parents need to contribute EQUALLY, unfortunately it seems like in most cases the father has to pick up the bill... hopefully this becomes more common.

If you read through the comments, most are supportive of the husband, and they're a pretty good mix of men and women "sticking it to her."

Isn't this evidence that men are getting more equality?

At the same time (from the wife of a MAN who has custody) if we're talking equality, what is the price tag on being the one to wake up at 3am with nightmares and clean up puke?
