It's true, though I caution you to consider what proportion of men commit these crimes. It's very low. It's just lower still in women.

In it (or one of the following ones), Erin Pizzey, the person who created the first domestic violence shelter, discusses that in 60% of the cases of women coming into the shelter, the women are as violent or more violent than the men they are leaving. It should also say that 1 out of 2 domestic violence murders are male victims.

In this one, it is shown that 50% of domestic violence is reciprocal - both men and women are being violent. Of the remaining 50% of domestic violence, 70% of it is perpetrated by women. That means that women, overall, commit more domestic violence than men. I can give you many more links that say the same thing.

When we now readdress the link given by stemgang, things are shown in a different light. There are many people here on Men's Rights that say that male victims are not given the same treatment when they report their victimization. In article after article posted on this subreddit, people are showing that women are not treated the same for violent crimes as men are.

There was the story of the woman who tried to stab her husband/boyfriend and missed, only to hit her own baby that was being held by the man (not hostage). There was the story of the overweight woman who sat on her male counterpart and smothered him. These women were given probation for their actions.

When you are doing your module, it would be appreciated by Men's Rights Activists everywhere if you at least mentioned that statistics on reported violent crime may not represent the actual numbers, since the reporting of violent crime is not a gender neutral issue. Bias and sexism plays a major role, and the societal view of women as the perpetual victim and men as the perpetual aggressor means that we don't currently have accurate statistics on all types of violent crimes.

At no point during this response do I mean to suggest that women are more violent than men (a stereotype). My point is simply that you will not find accurate statistics because this is a contentious issue that is not properly being addressed by our society.

Well, considering that one of the typical prerequisites for committing a violent crime is that you be able to over-power your victim, I'll have to go with yeah, men probably commit the majority of all violent crimes...

Men of course....I had one thought process recently, just think about it. If men are poor or lack a good education, they are more likely to become criminals. Women in the same situation are more likely to become a mother earlier and are more likely to have more kids.

Men not only commit the majority of violent crimes but also the majority of crimes in general.

Men make everything, everything that is productive and everything that is destructive.

This is a man's world

The only productive thing that women do is to produce other men.

You know what questions people don't ask? Are men the majority of protectors in every society? Do men invent the majority of technological breakthroughs? Have men been the majority source of creativity in arts, science, and spirituality since forever? No, because that is a "result of patriarchy", which must be destroyed. Of course, when men are the majority of anything negative, it's not also due to "patriarchy", but because of the inherent biological deficiencies of men.

Yes. Try a little social experiment. Dress up in the most expensive and flashy stuff you can get your hands on and go to random seedy places every night. Your muggers will be overwhelmingly male.
