Every single day I got hugs when I worked in a daycare.

I loved my job BECAUSE I was getting hugs everyday from these kids. I mean who doesn't love a job where not a day goes by where the people you work with are extremely happy to see you.

I am of the opinion that, if you don't like fucking hugs from kids, then you shouldn't fucking work around them.

School officials later agreed to remove sexual references but refused to expunge the "inappropriate physical contact" charge from the boy's school record.

Permanent records don't exist in any meaningful way. Removal or non-removal is really not an issue.

But the motivations of two 4-year-olds caught "playing doctor" are less clear; it's probably natural curiosity, not abuse.

The Washington Post over-simplifies things. If I recall the story about the 4-year old boy in Texas, the boy didn't simply hug the teacher's aide, he planted his face and rubbed her breasts with his face fairly vigorously.

I don't agree that a child should be labeled "sex offender", especially young children. However, I think it's appropriate to (carefully) teach a child what's acceptable and what isn't.

Hugs are actually still allowed. And we have no idea if that boy will grow up to be a "sex offender". More likely if we label him, so let's not. Furthermore, I'd like the term to not get watered down to include trivia like this (for instance, to include a 17 year old boy getting a blow job, or the 17 year old girl giving one).
