There is a double standard. When a man commits statutory rape, its because he is a pedophile. When a woman commits statutory rape, its because she is in love.

The whole "its ok if a woman does it" attitude is sickening. Same goes for women hitting men, woman forcing a man to have sex, rude sexual comments towards men, grabbing a man ass...

I worked tech support, and this woman had posters of men, body builders in her cube. If a guy tried to get away with anything like that, he would be up for sexual harassment.

Modern feminism isn't about equal rights, its about special rights.

A person who is drunk, and because she is drunk consents to an act which she would not when sober, still consents. Drunken consent is enough. But a woman who is so drunk that she has no understanding of what is happening cannot consent.

I think this is important. Part of the reason people go out drinking is because drinking lowers ones inhibitions. This includes a lowering of their standards for a sexual partner, and this is one of the reasons people go out drinking: to get laid (although women will rarely admit this). This is what makes criminalizing the whole 'she was drunk therefore it was rape' scenario. You are effectively criminalizing what has been standard behaviour for people (especially university aged people) since before I can even remember.

When at university I once got drunk and slept with someone who I wouldn't when sober. Once I got so high on weed I couldn't walk straight or string a sentence together and ended up sleeping with a girl who initiated all contact (both verbal and sexual). Would I have done either of these things when sober? In the first case no, in the second case yes. Was I rapped in the first case? No. I just lowered my standards.

Wow, just read the article on your site. As a father of a 19 teenage son it is so important to drill into them to be responsible and do not get yourself into situations that may be misinterpreted. Unfortunately, alcohol often trumps reason. Sometimes we need to just keep our fingers crosses.
