Is anyone surprised? Men are vulnerable to all kinds of abuse, knowing that they cannot depend on cops to do anything about it. If they call the cops, it might be THEM getting arrested for 'Domestic Violence'.

I applaud that actor, he took a hell of a lot of abuse. And the actress on the m->f violence side, didn't seem so physical, but yeah, still, it takes a lot not to fight back.

Men do more damage, but women hit more often

I think this is an important point.

To be honest I'm not shocked that people didn't step in when the woman was hitting the man. You just sort of know that if the man wanted to use force to stop her, he could do so at any time. What I found shocking is that most women assumed the man must have deserved it. "HE must have been cheating". So if my GF cheats I can beat her up?

They should've used a more physically imposing female to do the abusing I think. I agree that the double standard is bullshit and there's no way women should get away with beating on men, but the woman in that piece just didn't seem all that threatening, and most of the "abuse" consisted of shoves and pokes. I probably would've just walked on by myself.

How does "I figured he was cheating on her" excuse her actions? If I were to find my girlfriend cheating and beat her, that would still be seen as unacceptable.

Don't you think people's opinion on this issue has a lot to do with their experience with it? Specifically, when we're children. I think a man who grows up with an older sister who is physically stronger and bigger than him for his whole childhood, would have a different viewpoint than someone like myself on the issue of women hitting men. I am a guy who grew up with 2 younger sisters. I learned at a very young age that boys should not hit girls, and I, as a male have a huge physical advantage over a girl. Sure, logic tells me there should be no double standard, but my gut instinct on this kind of thing is that it's not a problem because women can't really damage men. I realize that probably has everything to do with my childhood. Any guys who were bullied by older sisters care to comment?

I love the person that roller blades by at :44. That's what I would do and probably giggle a little bit and do what the lady at 2:22 did. HA I'm going to hell. Good thing I don't believe in that.
