Here's a novel idea: contraception is YOUR responsibility, not your partner's. No, a woman shouldn't trust a strange man if he says he's been getting the shot, but the same goes for a man trusting women about being on the pill.

In fact, it's more risky for a man to trust a woman, because he has no control over the results of the woman's (potential) pregnancy, whereas if a man lies to a woman and impregnates her, she is free to choose whether or not she wants to keep the baby.

The bottom line is, unless YOU are on a contraceptive, insist that your partner uses a rubber.

She's right. A woman shouldn't trust a guy who says that he's had the jab. Just like a man shouldn't trust a woman who says she's on the pill/shot/whatever. Both parties should take their birth control stuff, and then condoms should be used to prevent the spread of STDs.

yep, cant rely on a man for contraception... since, you know, every woman i've ever slept with has always been the one in the relationship that buys the condoms, and makes sure they're... and, we all know women never forget to take their pill or use it as a power to abuse men...

I love how women think every little thing is about them. If this contraceptive jab ever makes it to the market, I'll have no problem taking it and still using a condom. At least I'll be reassured that my chances of impregnating a woman are slim to none when I run into a sperm jacker.

To tell the truth, i have never once trusted a woman who said she's on the pill. I have always, always, (yes, really, ALWAYS) used a condom. If men can be considered lazy, women can be considered liars. If i weren't such a poor college student cliche, i'd get a vasectomy just to be sure.
