Here is a brief presentation of five books that are instrumental in grasping the gender dynamics which lie at the base of current gender politics.

1. The Manipulated Man, by Esther Vilar

Written by a feminist, albeit a true Marxist, it's a classic treasure of insight into the ways women behave towards men. Written in the '70s it retains its freshness and currency, especially because it highlights the tactics of "traditionalists" - and we are seeing a resurgence of reactionism today.

2. The Myth of Male Power, by Warren Farrell

This is the Bible of the Men's Rights movement. It introduced much of the contemporary thinking and some of its notions are quite radical even for today's men's movement - such as the need to limit female sexual power.

3. The Privileged Sex, by Martin van Creveld

When did female primacy come to be? Martin van Creveld, an acclaimed historian, digs into the past couple of millennia and shows that women were always privileged, and it's not a result of recent feminism. A bombshell, invaluable book, full of valuable research, which is not talked about enough only due to the extreme pro-feminist bias of the modern West.

4. The Mating Mind, by Geoffrey Miller

One cannot understand gender dynamics without taking Evolution into account. Miller's book is a great all-around book about evolutionary principles and their application to humans (many other books get tiresome with the examples from snails). It also includes some fantastic insights that are not easily found elsewhere, such as bringing up to date the "group selection" theory.

5. The Rational Male, by Rollo Tomassi

The Red Pill is a bit notorious in mainstream cycles. It has succeeded in making its terms mainstream. Everyone is talking about "Alpha" and "Beta" males - although it is not certain what exactly they mean. Is there any truth to it? Is it manipulative? Is is unnecessarily manipulative? Tomassi is considered the "Patriarch" of the Red Pill, and his first book will give you the chance to form your own opinion.

Now I wouldn't write my own book, The Empress Is Naked: From Female Privilege to Gender Equality and Social Liberation (TheEmpressIsNaked.wordpress.com) if I didn't think I have something new and unique to contribute. It provides a multi-aspect view of gender dynamics from a, let's call it, radically humanistic viewpoint. It identifies the point where the sexes experienced a social "split", and provides what I think is the way forward for men and society.
