Thoughts on paper abortion?

I find the name "paper abortion" counterproductive. It ties it to abortion, an already sensitive subject, when it doesn't need to.

Even where abortion isn't allowed, women's consent to sex isn't consent to parenthood, through things like safe haven laws.

I would rather people in the MRM used LPS : legal parental surrender.

It's very scary to even think about, if modes of contraption fails you have absolutely zero say about what's going to happen to you for the next 18 years, The woman can abort which is her choice but if she chooses not to, you are stuck even if you didn't wanted to be a father, you have to pay child support which in majority of the cases is a huge amount. The argument from the other side is kinda right too, about bodily autonomy of the child and how someone has to support that child but at the same time the bodily autonomy of the father is thrown out the window as he is made to work for someone against his will, Closest option that i saw both parties being Ok with was that the father can sign away his parental rights within the time where abortion is possible and pay for the expenses of the abortion(most of the women in twox didn't agree with this as this affected the woman's choice to abort)

I'm both pro-choice and I also am for the option of parental surrender. I'm a woman as well and despite being supportive of the right to opt out of parenthood, my views are almost never in agreement with male advocates because of issues conflating it with bodily autonomy & integrity, especially in a way that undermines those rights for women.

But just so you know, we do exist. There are many prochoice people who also want reproductive autonomy for men.

It wouldn't be ideal but it would certainly be better. Obviously some rights to reproduction on the father's side would still be violated but it's not like we can force a women to have an abortion so not having to support an unwanted child is the least the father can do. Of course on the other hand there's a bit or moral dillema what to do if the father first claims he wants a child and then backs out of it but that's rather a fringe case.
