It bothers me that the video assumes that the only reason anybody objected to Sarkeezian is because "they felt threatened by her". In reality, the entire point of all of her videos is "these works of art do not conform to the tenets of my extremely specific non-scientific belief system".

This video itself is a scam rhetorical tactic. It is highly inadvisable to take the word of a scammer like this and use that to try to identify scams. Lets dig in:

And the purpose of rebranding white supremacy with a term like alt-right is so mainstream white people are not made to feel like racists when they vote for racist people with racist policies. So, every time a journalist writes an article about the dapper fashions of the alt-right and doesn't title it "Lipstick on a White Supremacist Pig" that journalist is being a coward and treating a coward and treating a hate-group with kid gloves basically because the hate group asked them to.

And well...while the alt right is racist they're not only racist. They are also misogynist, antifeminist, islamophobic, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, classist, ableist, authoritarian, and fiercly anti-intellectual. So if you just did a find and replace of each instance of alt-right with white supremacist you'd actually be leaving a lot out...and you don't have the kind of internet pull that if you coined your own term anyone would know what you're talking about so you'll just have to promise not to use alt-right as a euphemism.

Wow, that's quite the accusation, so who are the people identified with the above again? Oh, right, they are a loose group of people at the new rad end of the republican party in the US. To paraphrase: they are Breitbart news, Sargon of Akkad and the rest of antifeminist youtube, stormfront, PUAs, Gamergate, and anyone who uses the terms SJW or virtue-signalling unironically. Not everyone in the aforementioned groups is alt-right, but you'll know it when you see it, and its more obvious for those people who are part of multiple such groups. End paraphrase.

By this point it should be painfully, painfully obvious why this is dishonest bullcrap and why everything that follows should be taken with a heap of salt. This is bible-codes-esque pattern-seeking and discarding of contradictory data all for the purpose of...guilt by association? And now you want to tell me that I should put meaning in what this idiot says is a pattern of persuasive tactics for this pattern of people? /u/cromulent_weasel, please tell me you aren't unicronically taking life advice out of any of this.

And then this gently caress of a person says: "Any time you debate with a reactionary you are gambling with someone else's safety" in order to take in those who believe what this scam is selling and apply millieu control to prevent them from understanding anyone he doesn't want folks to listen to, including all of this sub.

Holy fuck, watching this video reminding me of all of the 'dishonest feminists' type posts in this sub. There's just no value for me in engaging the vast majority of those posts.

Since the video doesn't really go into Pinkpillers in great detail, and I don't really encounter many of them in the wild, would you mind breaking down for me what the Pinkpill troll playbook is? What are their talking points or 'boxes'?

I am not familiar with most of the people he uses in his examples, but given what I know of a few of those, the fact that he included #notallmen and things like that as his example of the alt-right, I'm going to suggest that this guy might be biased as fuck, or like everyone else who uses the term, has no idea what the at-right exactly is and just uses the term to smear the people they don't like and their ideas as being "nazi-adjacent".

Honestly, that just doesn't make me want to listen to more of that.
