For those who haven't read the linked article (and you really should), the article is a bait and switch where the topic is actually a feminist talking about the 'end of men', in which she describes how she made a 'joke' about how men should be confined to camps away from women because men are dangerous and patriarchy, and then acts all surprised when men (and women) got upset by it. Obviously she has no self awareness that the ability for it to be a 'joke' is limited by the fact she's literally advocating men should be made obsolete. Of course she ends the piece with "I don't literally want all men removed from society", despite the fact she spend the whole article saying why it would be a good thing. Normally I find most of the 'flip the gender' examples pretty lazy, but props to OP to making a good example in this case of how our perceptions about how we talk about men vs women is extremely biased.

What I find most disgusting about these kinds of 'end of men' articles is how they reduce men to sperm providers - a true form of 'objectification'. There's zero acknowledgement of the positive role of fathers (indeed, this article derides fathers), zero acknowledgement of how much men sacrifice to keep society ticking over, building, plumbing, fishing, you name it. Even if sexual reproduction was somehow supplanted by artificial means, society still needs men.

You know that classic argument where feminists often say these feminists are the minority? I wonder how they deal with TERFs like her? If she isn't that harmful, then trans-women should "ignore"her. Is she is that harmful, then men's concerns are justified.

Julie Bindel is a disgusting misandrist, and it says a lot that she is given a newspaper platform which would never be given to an equivalent misogynist (if there even is anyone who advocates putting women in concentration camps). That said, I don't think anyone should be deported from a country based on their opinion.

There is room for nuance on this. The intolerant being jailed or physically deported ASAP for loudly voicing positions that advocate plausible, immediate bodily harm is a good idea, but the problem with lunatics like this one seems less immediate, and more cultural to me — due to biases of people who hold cultural power right now, we give too much weight to bad opinions like this; see Karl Popper's paradox Of tolerance for more info.

Western society shouldn’t allow this kind of mysoginy. Also, if feminists want men to care more about childcare and women to have more of a career, a concern I 100% share, then maybe they should support 50/50 custody, but no, then those poor women “need” their kid and the man is a horrible parent, so he’ll have to pay for the woman and children, only reinforcing patriarchial gender norms. Feminism went from empowering women to keeping women small and dependent of the state and men.

Britain absolutely should not tolerate it. Misogyny is never okay.

That said, I don’t believe he should be deported. Having bigoted views isn’t technically illegal. I think he needs to face consequences for his words, I’m just not sure being kicked out of the country is the appropriate consequence. It would be different if he actually made any attempt to create such concentration camps; then I think deportation would be fair.
