Such a flawed approach. I bet you there is a market for an all-female crew of handymen who do small jobs like plumbing, paint, and small renovation jobs. If these ladies would have walked in with a portfolio of work that they themselves did while working with other female tradesmen, and were able to show even a small profit I bet coupled with a better approach and attitude they could have gotten an offer. Strange pitch but I’ll chalk that up to stage fright. All in all thats not a bad idea. Their academy would be open to everyone not just women. Doesnt seem like a bad idea if it could be pitched more confidently and not be dead set on “women in construction” as the main goal. Just having a trade school easily available will solve that if there are woman interested (and there are, I’ve worked some some good woman framers) along with other people looking to learn a skill outside of a $60,000 degree
