So I was reintroduced to a family friends son recently. We have been talking for a while and the texts have been suggestive/ general flirting. But he wouldn’t follow through with plans. His initial reason was that he had family in town and couldn’t commit to a plan because he hadn’t seen them in a while. I got this text from him yesterday

“The only reason I have been a little hesitant is because right before, probably a month or so, we got in touch. I connected with someone online and it’s like going - I can’t say it’s good or bad, it’s just going.

You’ve been a pleasant real life surprise in every way and like I’m being a stupid person and just figuring all this out. If any of that made sense AT ALL”

I am just peeved. He’d never mentioned seeing anyone else and I don’t want to be treated like an option. Im being given mixed advice such as “ ignore it and say no worries, I don’t want to add to your confusion good luck” and being told to continue talking to him because he’s basically also saying that he has feelings for me ( which I don’t think he is). I need to know what I should do.
