Hi ladies! I’m so glad I found FDS. I’m completely new to this so I’m in need of some advice.

I’m in kind of a confusing/weird situation. So about a month and a half ago, I (23F) matched with this guy (28M) on Bumble. We started chatting and really hit it off. I told him up front I wasn’t for meeting up too quick given the pandemic. He asked what my ideal timeline for meeting would be and I responded with 1-2 weeks (enough time to see if he’s even worth meeting up with) and he was completely fine with it. However, conversation progressed and he ended up asking me to go to dinner one night if I wanted to bend my timeline, but understood if not. I said no, but told him I appreciated the ask.

Here is where it gets kind of weird. This happened over a MONTH ago, and he hasn’t asked me out again nor asked me for my phone number. So, basically, we have become pen pals of sorts and we just chat through the app everyday. I have come to really like him, he seems like a genuine guy but he also seems very very shy which is why I believe he hasn’t asked me out again.

My patience is wearing very thin and I’d like to see if we have a connection and meet. I would like to do the FaceTime/pre date interview it mentions in the handbook. My question is, what would you ladies do in my situation? I’m thinking about just telling him “if you’d like to continue getting to know each other, here is my number. If not, it’s been nice talking to you.” I want to be assertive but also do not want to come off too mean either. Any input would be great!
