It's important to realize that these bills establish 50/50 as a default, not as a mandate. The default can be changed if needed. It is not true that these bills would require kids to spend time with abusive fathers, or anything like that.

It's a long time coming, and the real reason feminists don't want shared custody as that means little to no child support.

Funny how they talk about defending their children from abusers when a lot of women neglect kids too. What really pisses me off was this story about this guy's daughter who had to go to school wearing shoes with no soles on the bottom because his wife kept spending the child money on herself instead of her daughter. Ohh but hey family court gave that dumb bitch custody.

Pot separation, the default custody should be 50/50.

From there, if one parent is unable to step up to the plate, money changes hands.

In Australia, the modus operandi is once separation occurs, women try to place the domestic violence card and some blokes think they are doing the right thing by accepting an AVO when they are not violent. From there, the women can alienate the father and once the CSA get involved, the father gets raped through his wallet. In Australia, the income of the parents is taken into consideration, each parent is given a $15K "living allowance" then the money changes. if the mother isn't working, or stops working, she has the kids full time and the father earns a decant wage, he gets done over. Especially considering she is probably living in the marital home, he is paying the mortgage and he can't visit because "she feels scared" of him. He is couch surfing and trying to rent, and she has Chad move in.

The old "sexual abuse" allegation is always a classic. Step fathers and boyfriends are more likely to sexually abuse a child, or murder a child, than a father. Feminist propaganda makes you think that fathers are evil and mothers are innocent creatures... they push that misandrist hate.

When you have 50/50 custody, it actually lifts women out of poverty as it forces them to look for work. When they exceed their fair share, then it limits their employment options and so they basically stay at home in poverty. If you are a feminist, then you must support 50/50 parenting and children are as much a father's responsibility as a mother's.

This is a great first step. As someone who has 50/50 and still pays almost full child support, I would like to see language which guarantees that if parents choose 50/50 custody there would little to no need for child support. Or possibly temporary child support so that a non working parent can find employment.
