Timeline of events:

  • 2016-2019: Living in dream apartment with ex
  • 2019-2021: Move 2.5 hours away to finish school in a rural town
  • Jan 2021: End things with ex
  • May 2021: Start my dream job in the city where I'm from
  • July 2021: I reach out to my old landlord, he tells me my old apartment is available in October
  • September 2021: I book a flight to Europe for a two-week vacation
  • October 2021: I picked up my keys! I can afford this apartment all on my own 👸🏻

Ten months ago I never thought that I would be in the situation I'm in now.

sidenote The apartment was occupied by two guys during the time I was away. It is filthy - they didn't clean once. They locked their dog in the bathroom, they didn't respect this beautiful apartment. I will restore it to its natural beauty (after my landlord hires professional cleaning services and installs a new bathtub). 👸🏻
