Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Not to rain on anything here because there are obviously real comments in there, but I've heard dailymail comments are oftentimes fake. I browse that site, idk why, but I also check comments on posts all the time and yes, there is definitely confirmation some of them are fake and implanted to stir something. This time though I'm sure most of that is real since it has so many comments.

[–]Eoasap 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They deliberately mislead either the title saying "32 year old man having seen with 17 year old girl".

No... This happened 7 years ago, he was 25 at the time and she was 17. Either add the 7 years to both, or neither, but a 32 year old did NOT have sex with a 17 year old in this case.

My guess is trying to make it sound worse because they knew there would be uproar over yet another male teacher fired, jailed, and registered sex offender while none of those things ever happen to women teachers who have sex with their students.

Everyone wants equality, great! let's have equality all around. Then we can have logical discussions about the sentencing length, but it will never happen as long as women can rape boys with impunity and whatever the daily excuse us for their behavior is thrown in our face like that should excuse it. IE: assumed rough childhood, assumed DV victim, assumed mental problems- none ever proven as fact, just thrown out there by the media.

17 is 1 year over "of age" in UK. He had sex with a "legal adult" as far as consent is concerned.

[–]Bojack35 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He had sex with his pupil. Her being over 16 isn't the point.

If they met outside of the school dynamic and hooked up then legally it's fine. In a dynamic where he is her teacher it is and should be illegal.

[–]This-Icarus 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Except he is in a position of authority

[–]Glum-Pen-728 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Then cops have no capacity to date anyone who isn't in law enforcement.

[–]This-Icarus 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Now you are just being pedantic, if you have any real comments to make go ahead if not stop trolling

[–]Glum-Pen-728 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Its not pedantry. If your argument is that someone with an authority over others should never be able to date or have sex with people they have authority over, then cops are completely incapable of dating non-cop citizens.

[–]This-Icarus 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There are different types of authority, teacher and pupilstit is a guardianship style, and as such is seen as taking advantage, especially when the teacher knew this girl when she was underage.

[–]Glum-Pen-728 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

especially when the teacher knew this girl when she was underage.

she wasnt underage. UK consent is 16.

[–]This-Icarus 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You know kids go to school younger than 16 right? She would have been there the previous years.

It is also more than just age of consent to deal with

[–]ApplicationCreepy987 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

If you don't see the problem you are the problem.

[–]Glum-Pen-728 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

if you see problems everywhere maybe you are the problem.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Seeing rape as a problem isn't seeing problems "everywhere."

You really don't think the power imbalance in the situation makes this completely indefensible?

[–]ApplicationCreepy987 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wow, just wow.

[–]Crot4le 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's really worrying that there are quite a few comments in this thread defending rape.

I really hope this sub doesn't go the way of MGTOW.

[–]ApplicationCreepy987 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. There are a lot of chip on shoulder and incel types here.

[–]Kinexity 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. Unless there was something else to it he should have been just fired.

[–]nflcansmd 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Legally as a teacher is considered to be in the position of locus parentus they cannot engage in a relationship with pupils unless there has been at least 3 years between the student leaving the school and the relationship beginning and even then it is not advised.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

locus parentus

*loco parentis

[–]Glum-Pen-728 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The entire premise of power dynamics as a raised feminist theory was so that men would have to suffer under it, not so that women would.

Which is why UK teachers who are women get suspended jail sentences.

If you take time out of your day to follow "what is power dynamic", to its logical conclusion, ANY disparity in age, in job titles, in income, etc, become "pressure points of coercive nature".

You cannot habitate with a female and be the sole leasee paying rent, because that creates coercive pressure on her to perform in bed or be kicked out and become homeless.

Power dynamics exist everywhere.

One twat on twitch was even caught being kicked out on hidden camera by her male roommate because shew as a slob who didnt pay rent and she said "is it because I wasnt having sex with you?>???"

Its like, "yeah, that'd be a start to me not minding if you don't pay rent. I mean, if you're willing to prostitute yourself I've heard sex work is REAL work so you go empowered girl!"

But that situation is obviously one where he needs her gone because she's one step from claiming a coercive attempt to have sex with her by giving her shelter, when she was failing to pay rent the whole time in the first place.

[–]EnvironmentalWar4627 -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's definitely feminists fault that teachers can't sleep with their students. Damn those feminists.

[–]Direct_Candy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Direct_Candy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you men's right activist....

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Hard disagree. This was rape. A teacher is in a position of power so the pupil is unable to consent.

If they had met at a random bar, then this would be okay. But the context matters. This is an abuse of power and I am appalled by it.

[–]Glum-Pen-728 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

A teacher is in a position of power so the pupil is unable to consent.

By that argument all cops commit rape when they engage in sex because they have permanent positions of power over any other citizen through their job, and thus can't have a consenting relationships.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

You are comparing apples to oranges.

A teacher-pupil relationship is a completely different dynamic to that of a cop-citizen.

[–]Glum-Pen-728 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

How so? You have authority to ruin a person's life in either case.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A teacher is in loco parentis with their pupils. A police officer is not acting in a position of guardianship with the general public.

A teacher sees their pupils regularly. The amount of contact time is a huge factor. A teacher plays a huge role in that child's life and is a key stakeholder for their wellbeing. A police officer will interact with many citizens but far less frequently and for shorter amounts of time.

The relationship between a teacher and pupil is based on trust and care, not authority granted by a badge. The environment of a classroom and instruction is more intimate and nurturing than that of a citizen interacting with a cop in public.

[–]Glum-Pen-728 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

is based on trust and care

and not so for cops? Scary.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Given the major differences between the nature of interactions, the environment they take place, and the frequency that they take place it is impossible that they could ever be comparable.

[–]SpunkyDred -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

apples to oranges

But you can still compare them.

[–]Zelda2hot 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Obviously you can compare them, but the whole point of the idiom is that it's a false analogy. I could compare you to the helpful bots, but that too would be comparing apples-to-oranges.

SpunkyDred and I are both bots. I am trying to get them banned by pointing out their antagonizing behavior and poor bottiquette. My apparent agreement or disagreement with you isn't personal.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good bot.

[–]The_Great_Sarcasmo 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (38 children) | Copy Link

What the fuck is this? Teachers who shag their 17 year old students should totally be jailed. 2 years is a light sentence.

[–]dat_walking_meme 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree

[–]TorvaldsHasSecks 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

The age of consent is 16 in the UK

[–]The_Great_Sarcasmo 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

If you read the article you'll see he wasn't jailed because she was below the age of consent.

[–]bufedad 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

If you've been following along you'll see female teachers aren't held to this standard.

[–]This-Icarus -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't mean that you let the male get away with it, just give women equal sentences.

This guy is fucked up and should definitely Be in jail, longer than 2 years

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Lol... right. In a country where judges are literally instructed to give lighter sentences to women, that's not going to happen.

[–]This-Icarus -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

That is not the point I was making, the point I was making was that regardless of the gender jail gap he should have longer than 2 years

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Oh yeah, and you're ignoring the gender jail gap, which is what everyone is discussing here.

[–]This-Icarus -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Where did I ignore it? I said a woman should get the same time as a man.

A lot of people on this sub forget about equality and just shit on women, I have seen many people defending people purely because they are men, it doesn't make sense and it only hurt men's rights. I saw people cheering and defending Cosby ffs, who got out on a technicality not innocence.

Take a look in the mirror and think about if you actually stand for mens rights or if you only want men to win.

Men AND women should be equal and treated the same, you are doing the exact same thing the feminists are

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Where did I ignore it? I said a woman should get the same time as a man.

Which blatantly ignores the fact that they don't and won't.

[–]Crot4le -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Which is a problem.

So maybe focus on that problem instead of trying to excuse a male teacher raping a female student?

[–]bufedad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men deserve equality. Period

[–]bufedad -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Men deserve equality. Period

[–]Crot4le -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Obviously.

The equality I want is that all rapists get the same sentencing regardless of gender.

Not that all rapists get equal leniency...

You'd really prefer that a male rapist go free, not that a woman rapist get punished for her crimes?

[–]bufedad -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Then we get the only equality men can get. Women will not be treated like you want men to be. Men deserve equality. Period

[–]Crot4le -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Then we get the only equality men can get.

No, rape is not okay. I am not going to celebrate rapists not receiving justice as a win for equality.

Wider societal recognition that women can be rapists too and equal sentencing for sex crimes committed by women perpetrators would be a win for equality.

Male rapists getting unpunished, doesn't help the male victims of female rapists, does it? It just creates even more injustice in the world.

[–]bufedad -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Male equality is something you oppose. We'll have to disagree on that

[–]TorvaldsHasSecks 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well i don't know what the writer was on because the age of consent is still 16 in the UK

[–]The_Great_Sarcasmo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I mean. You really should read the article. He "was jailed for six counts of abusing his role of being in a position of trust to incite the girl aged under 18 to engage in sexual activity".

It's illegal in the UK.

And rightly so.

[–]TorvaldsHasSecks 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The daily mail is bullshit anyways. The age of consent is 16 in the UK. How many times will i have to repeat that before you finally understand. If the genders were reversed, the situation would change and the woman would likely not be the one spending jail time. It's not a symmetric punishment, and thus not "rightly so".

[–]The_Great_Sarcasmo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So you think the courts just made a mistake and the Daily Mail made up a law.

I'm sorry but that's pretty delusional. The article clearly states why he was jailed and it's not because of the age of consent.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The age of consent is not 16 in the context of this particular relationship because it is between a teacher and a pupil.

Stop defending rape.

[–]Crot4le 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A pupil can't consent to their teacher. This was rape.

[–]DavidByron2 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In the US it would be maybe 3-6 months with time off / suspended for a female teacher even with a 16 year old.

[–]This-Icarus 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The sentence is not harsh it should have been longer.

Also females that do this should also receive long sentences

[–]VeteranOfDepression 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even though this is wrong, I do agree that female teachers should be arrested for doing the same, and more punishment when the student is under the age of consent. It should be no different than what male teachers get for doing it already.

[–]BoogersAndSugar -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Gotta love how the femmunists twist things whenever we complain about this double standard:

"Oh so you want the 'right' to fuck underage girls"

NO, ya fucking nutjob. We want HER punished!
