Already, when commute time is taken into account (and why shouldn't it be?) men are under-earning compared to women.

With the Civil Serpents (mostly women) refusing to return to the office and effectively being on strike to stay working from home, that gender commute gap is going to widen even further. This will just make the much-vaunted "gender pay gap" even worse, with men being even further disadvantaged.
