Many words sound the same and are spelled different. Change her name in your head to the dumbest spelling and get over it.

Or she gets to take from you everything everywhere everyday because she exists. Thats immature and a waste of energy.

From what you've written, I think that you likely are. She was the one who ended things with your ex, so that means she doesn't see him as the right fit for her. And they work together, so it's no surprise that they are trying to remain on cordial terms. If she wanted to try again with him, it would have happened months ago.

Which brings us to you. Why did you and your ex break up? What makes you think things will be better for round 2? What are you looking for in a relationship with your ex? You obviously don't owe me answers to these questions, but you do owe it to yourself.

The tattoo idea is weird. Part overthinking it it seems to me. If I were you I'd just tell him "I know I'm probably overthinking it but the fact her name was the same as our favorite singer kind of weirds me out, can we be sensitive about this topic." Idk that usually works between my boyfriend and I.

It happens. I have ex's with very common names and I do think of them whenever the name is said. Does it mean I want to get back with them? No. A lot of times I want to wipe the name out so I don't hear it and get triggered with some bad memory. I got dumped on Cinco de Mayo. Still hate the holiday but don't want it gone from existence.

I wouldn't dwell on it. You could ask him if he still think of his ex whenever the name is mentioned. He may take it as being jealous or overthinking it which I agree. It's more of a curse than a blessing half of the time when it's a name you hear often. If he was using the posts as an excuse to talk to his ex then I would pop up a flag. If it's just fandom posting, let it lie.

If you are... Then what kind of Aaliyah tattoo is he getting? Is it her name? If it is, then it's super weird that he wants to tattoo the name of a former FWB on his body, especially when he knows you'll have to see it a lot. I get it's about the singer, not the FWB, but you would still have to look at it every day and he would have to know what you would think. I honestly don't see a second relationship between you two lasting if he does that.

If it's a picture or a symbol tattoo, like a dove, or Aaliyah on a motorbike like in her more than a woman video or something... I would try to let it go. She was an amazing artist and one person shouldn't be allowed to ruin everything about her.
