I was also stumbled on it, back when i was in my mid teens. I knew guys who shared Return of Kings articles on Facebook and it was genuinely pretty upsetting shit to come across and see so many fears and stereotypes people said about men come alive in the red pill. Guys were openly discussing and encouraging cheating and manipulating peoole that trust them, reducing women to numbers 1-10 and calling women they sleep with "sloots" and just being straight up awful.

It made me less naive and honestly im in a really happy relationship for the last several years and some of it has to do with what i learned about a lot of male behaviour and what red flags to look out for so i nexted anyone who gave even slightly red pilly vibes

I stumbled there but not a follower. I find a lot of it toxic and some basic common sense that you dont need a 'pill 'for.

Sure, do some women fit in to a 'RP box', yup but, many dont. Just like I know some men fit into hes bad box but I know darn well all men are not bad.

Its probably about 50/50 on who is crappy on either side.

Know what I noticed after a recent visit to TRP? That every one of the admins' announcements or posts talked down to everyone. Literally treated everyone like they were stupid and know nothing. The admins and "verified TRP" posters were acting "alpha" hoping to convince everyone else that they are important, which is also their advice in regard to women. No one caught on that they are treating you exactly the way they want you to treat women?

Why would anyone want to be a part of that? It's a poor leader that uses ridicule instead of positive encouragement.

saw someone in youtube's comment section talking about it and decided to read some posts. wish i read the articles first, it would be way easier to realize what they're saying is bs and get out of that mentality if i did actual research on it before jumping to read the forums but it's way easier to be manipulated by what people say when they present their arguments like

my country is full of shitty misogynists and it kinda became the norm to me so i was pretty easy to manipulate. the more i've seen that content the more i started to force myself to believe i was the kind of person they claimed all women are but the logical part of my brain was like "no you're not. you don't do any of the things or think like they say women do. and your taste in men is literally the opposite of what they say it is" so why did i still believe in it? if you grow up constantly being told that women are irrational and selfish and spend your whole day consuming content about women being irrational and selfish it will mess your brain up. a lot of men today also have internalized misandry because of how they were raised and they're claimed to be the logical & apathetic ones.

I love to read recovery stories by men who were lost in negative manosphere before. Because many stayed there and even create children with either some unstabile women or equally misguided women...and many of those children ended up in a bad, bad place.

I believe in a positive male role model (obviously also positive female role model) in everyone's lives, especially for younger human, but these TRP grifters are definitely not it.

These young people were looking for a hospital, but they got trapped inside a crack den instead. So it is always nice to read stories from those people who escaped the crack dens and hopefully can be some positive male role model in the future.

I was apart of the hypergamous community and they sort of align with red pill. The woman in followed believed women don’t need to go to college all they need is a rich husband. Looks were of the utmost importance. It’s all a big contradiction to me. I have some traditional beliefs, but they aren’t as extreme as those communities. Things such as “female dating strategy”, level up, pink pill, femininity content is just too cookie cutter, manipulative and extreme for me. I personally don’t believe dating should be this massive mathematical equation.

I used to watch the Red Pill content itself, because I didn't see many people neither on internet, neither in real life talking about male problems, it was just "women problems, women problems, women problems..." and also about the men in general, just "men want sex, the end". So the red pill was the first thing I founded that talked about men problems, and it was nice to not be the victim for a while, and know more about men, but I didn't expect to be so toxic.

I was a teenager and the only thing promoted at that time in my circles was radical feminism. I've always been the feminine type and don't think all men are evil. I was prime for brain washing. It took me a long time to break some of the ideals learned on rpw. I didn't realize until shortly before I left That the sub and it's rules come from a guy not women! So essentially it's him trying to brainwash all these women into acting a certain way for the benefit of his fellow men so They can abuse us and not appreciate us.

I left when I realized it wasn't run by women and it seemed the comments were flooded in with men commenting and getting toxic
