To be honest, some women have a good amount of feminine facial and body features that can still look feminine/attractive with short hair. Me, my face is square shaped and my nose is a bit masculine. I also have a flat chest so i prefer to have long hair and keep feminine. There are women who are short with cleavage and cute little faces with an upward nose who look like tinker bell with short hair! generally, men don’t want to feel like they’re dating a masculine girl.

Femininity doesn't always come from your appearance, I would say having a feminine personality is as important as a feminine appearance. That said, of course, it'll affect men's attraction towards you not necessarily for the worst, it comes down to what type of men you want to attract.

Such haircuts/hairstyles are stereotypically done by lesbians to attract...... well.... women.

Yes. I think it's strange to ask this. Does a guys appearance not effect you? Or a person in general even?

Edit: update for the added information. Yes, it'll effect a lot of interpretations. Not only how others treat you, but how you treat others because of being more comfortable. Frankly I think you should give it a go. It's a fun experiment to see the changes both you and others go through. It's already cut, and it's gonna take time to grow back out anyways. Enjoy the exploration. See what areas don't change, and what things you have to compensate for because of the different ways people treat you. Maybe you'll notice that a different type of guy will be more into you, and a type will lose interest. Like I imagine more Christian/conservative will be less interested with the new look, but more alternative dudes may enjoy it more.

Well to put it bluntly, if you were attractive before you're going to be attractive afterwards. And vice versa. I know plenty of guys who think pixie cuts are hot. There's something enticingly counter-culture about them. Just look at Natalie Portman in that snl rap. Plus the combo of being traditionally feminine but with a pixie cut could totally be a unique style that you could own.

Grow out your hair. It’s not difficult and since you’re talking about looking attractive, long healthy hair is one of the number one things that get noticed. Also having a fit, slender body and understanding what clothing looks great on you as well as using makeup to enhance your natural beauty.

Also to note, beauty doesn’t necessarily equal comfort. Of course it’s your choice if you want to focus just on being comfortable, but since you’re posting here, you’re going to get the answers about how to look more beautiful, not more comfortable.

Depending on the guy, yes it very well could affect his perception of you. Some guys really like pixie-style cuts, but if you feel insecure/unsure about it then you should grow it out some. In the meantime though, you can do other small things to make yourself look/feel more feminine like painting and taking good care of your nails, experimenting with skincare and makeup, making sure your eyebrows are well-groomed, and so on. Also, if you just can't give up loose-fitting clothes, check out Pinterest to look at styles that are both flattering and feminine! Athleisure might be a good route.

As another curly haired gal I throw my thoughts in. Being feminine and attractive is more than a hairstyle. That being said, my husband hates when I cut my hair like I hate when he shaves his face.

I have naturally curly hair and men absolutely love long curls. Unless you're a supermodel I think it's kind of hard to pull off short curly hair without looking like a grandma, but that's just my opinion. It's all about what makes you feel the most confident and pretty. If you're hiding behind frumpy clothes I would address the underlying reasons you're doing that. I'm not saying to dress slutty but to find looks that are comfortable yet flattering.

Short hair was common in regular, feminine women up until the 00s. Just look at Princess Diana. It was common for teenage girls to get a short bob or a pixie. My teenage sister had a pixie in the 90s and her friends had chin length bobs.

Flapper girls had short hair. Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn had short hair.

Now it's not mainstream and fashionable to have short hair. It's either grandmas who are holding onto old fashioned styles or women who are gender non conforming. The connotations are different when it comes to hair length in this era.

Perhaps if you went for vintage look it could look feminine.
