My work blocks /r/sex (don't know why) so I can't link but for that example of "doing it wrong" the OP actually posted an update following that post. Basically he read No More Mr Nice Guy and decides to start enacting a plan based on what he read in the book. I posted in that thread arguing with a woman that insisted on turning it back on OP's wife at every opportunity. I'll summarize just in case other are blocked from /r/sex like me:

Her: "Step 3 is finding her needs to meet".

Me: "No. He's already doing too much of that and he needs to stop. It's redundant to tell him to plan to do something he needs to stop doing."

Her: "but by doing this he WILL be meeting her needs... blah blah blah"

Me: "No. Stop trying to turn this around into what he can do for his wife. Stop projecting what you want onto his situation"

I feel bad for the beta guy. Most guys aren't born alpha. You date a girl. Things are hot. You marry her. You have 2 kids. She stops wanting the D. You're like Wtf. You ask her.
