Pussy pass granted. Company paid the settlement, woman who "falsely imprisoned" and "held hostage" a subordinate worker, suffered no consequence mentioned in the article. Meanwhile the victim, who suffers a diagnosed mental illness lost his job, was basically ridiculed in a court of law for not standing up for himself and has had said ridicule published in the press. Even winning the dude still lost.

So they're disappointed in the decision (that they allowed their managers and supervisors to discriminate against an employee) but also believe that any form of discrimination is unacceptable.

They go as far as mentioning each of their height, but don’t focus at all on how she was his manager and abused a position of power. Used to work at Tesco, doesn’t surprise me, I signed up for a 3 nights a week contract, but they put me on a flexi-contact, meaning in addition to those 3 nights they would always force me to do overtime with less than 24 hours notice, regardless of what plans I had on my non-work days, as it was in the contract they could make me do whatever hours they wanted at the drop of a hat.

Before the civilized world they’re right, she would have gotten her ass kicked. Thrown to the side. Treated like a disobedient underling.

But now a days, women have rights and treated like minorities in the work place. Anything could have happened in that room and nobody would have thought twice to take her side. Men have to me more careful now and that shit is scary. Scary knowing your a big guy and she’s a small pregnant woman. You have a lot to loose and she has everything to gain.

It’s no my fair they treated him like this, he would have been in so much trouble if he did not play it cautiously. As a Tesco's employee, I can tell you now, that this happens almost everyday on one form or another to most colleague, I wish I had evidence of my most recent discrimination because I'd love to take them to the cleaners myself, I am already losing my flat because the company "doesn't have the hours" to give me so my earning remain low, all while hiring new temp starters for Christmas, paying them 60p per hours less than current permanent employees and them being given all the over time first.
