You don’t have to be the person you used to be. You could benefit from self love. It sounds like you place your worth on your external appearance/ the amount of girls you get which is literally what TRP is all about. Love yourself as you are. Also every single guy in TRP is actually beta. Alphas are people who don’t need validation to be themselves as they are. Literally TRP simply helps you change your appearance and the amount of girls you get, but you can still be, in essence, beta as fuck. Anyways, moral of the story is have self love, you’ll be happier and won’t have to pretend to be alpha. Honestly it’s so cringe/obvious when guys act alpha.

before TRP, I was super beta and a nice guy. I was shy, feminine, super respectful, kind, followed rules, awkward around girls, spent a bunch of time playing video games, got bullied, couldn’t even do 10 pushups, socially awkward, etc. I couldn’t even get a girl to talk to me.

You were a shy and awkward teenager. Lots of people are like that, it's not a big deal. Also being feminine isn't an intrinsically bad thing

I got into TRP a little under 2 years ago in late high school, and despite doing some things I’m not proud of, I did make some progress. I got into looksmaxxing and greatly improved my looks through changing my hairstyle, skin care, teeth whitening, fashion, etc.

You started taking care of your appearance, and people noticed. You don't need TRP for that

It's extremely unlikely that your abnormal feature is noticed by other people for more than five seconds. It's distressing to you so I understand wanting to "fix" it, but it's obviously inconsequential given your success dating otherwise. Body dysmorphia sucks, but I hope you reconsider and learn to love yourself as-is :)

This is the only thing I think TRP taught you - to be selfish and completely inconsiderate of anyone else. Still, it had the side effect of making you feel confident and powerful, which provides for a short term kind of attraction...

...and not enough substance to last. It's not social awkwardness that's ending the attraction, it's the selfishness and lack of consideration of others. Some people are still attracted to that kind of thing, but they're usually not pleasant or good people to be around for very long.

Despite all this, I’m not much happier than I was before. I’m more confident and have higher self-esteem, but I feel lonelier and have worse anxiety. I also kind of feel bad for who I’ve become, and want to be a better person. I want to leave TRP, but I struggle with it because I’d rather die than go back to who I used to be.

This is the problem with TRP, it doesn't address the root problem and instead places blame on external forces and factors.

Luckily you should have an easier time escaping than most, though it will require a lot of moral fiber on your part

First, imagine the kind of person you want to be, then start doing whatever they would do when you're unsure of a situation. Sometimes it can help to think of a specific person or character; for me, I think of Superman, a being with the power of a god but who always strives to use it for good and others' benefit (even though he's kind of a boring superhero)

As a place to start, stop seeing people as something to use or exploit for your own wants and needs and start thinking of how you can make their day better. You don't need to go all out on self-sacrifice, just start putting others' needs first when it doesn't cost you much and don't expect anything in return. Speaking for myself, I get a warm and fulfilling glow any time I help someone and make the world just a tiny bit less shitty.

Keep doing self-care like grooming, exercise, and social interaction, but stop using people to try to fill the hole you feel inside. Learn to love who you are, even with all your flaws, and recognize the only person whose opinion you have to live with is your own.

Doing crimes might get you money, but it makes you feel bad - you build a shell of success but get no gratification because you know it's all fake and hollow. A more modest life that you've earned will feel much more satisfying by comparison, even if it seems diminished from what you had before.

Likewise, dating lots of women and getting them obsessed with you might give you momentary validation, but it's nothing compared to knowing someone deeply cares about the REAL you, who knows your flaws and fears and faults and loves you anyway, who would be willing to risk themselves for your benefit. It is very scary and requires a lot of vulnerability, risking a lot of hurt exposing your weaknesses this way, and it takes a long time to get to this point with someone. Don't expect you'll get there for a while, but it's totally worth it once you do. Humans are social creatures and require connections as much as they need food and water. Being yourself around others and having that validated is as nourishing to the spirit as actual nutrition is for the body.

You get to that point by being your honest, truest self. If there's parts of yourself you don't like, learn to both accept your faults and forgive yourself while also trying to change yourself for the better. You're already doing this by asking here.

Learn what you value, and in what priority - is it loyalty, family, compassion, truth/honesty, courage? Decide what you want your ideals to be, and try to live them regardless of what society, other people, or the world tell you that you should value. "In matters of principle stand like a rock; in matters of taste go with the flow". Building from this foundation will allow you to decide what is actually important in life and what's just window dressing.

The meaning of life is what you decide it is. Build from within yourself and try to be your true self. Some people might prefer the old you, so it will take integrity for you to decide to choose your values over pasts relationships.

Do you actually want long term stability and relationship or just some short time fun ?(and nothing is wrong with short time fun. Not everyone has to do the long term relationship stuff.)

Because if you want the former, how do you achive that by being too busy acting out a role and thinking about strategy?

Have you ever considered therapy bro? I recommend you give it a shot. If you're willing to invest in plastic surgery and other frivolous things for fulfillment, you might as well invest in your mental health.

It sounds like you have some internal struggles since you worked on your appearance and still haven't found happiness. You have to peel back some layers and find what will make you happy and content, especially since you're saying before and after red pill you weren't there yet.

Hey man, just wanted to pop in for a bit. The thing here is that it is not just one or the other! There is once someone who said something that is very noteworthy, and that is advice for men on dating and /or a few other items are really terrible.

So much so that some advice, whether on redpill or otherwise is basic legit stuff to improve yourself. Take for example, if you are in business, there is such a thing as learning how to present yourself well to a client, learning the right things to say to score the deal..etc.. These are not manipulation, it's life skills. People literally pay to learn these things.

The issue with red pill is way too much hatred, wanting to hurt, and obsession with stuff that has nothing about to do with anything.

I think a little something that I came across can a bit useful. Have you ever thought of being a bad boy, but ethical? Something like that may help.
