I see submission as separate from inferiority, personally. And it seems everyone kinda wants something different anyway.

Women fight for equality but many still want to be inferior to their male partners.

I think you misunderstand feminism. Someone could want to be submissive in the bedroom yet still want equal pay, equal job opportunities, basic respect, and be free from non-consensual abuse.

It seems like the feminist movement runs counterintuitive to what the majority of men / women desire in relationships. Right? Isn’t this hypocritical?

Not really. All the feminists that I talk to are rather libertarian when it comes to relationships. They tend to believe that, if a woman wants to be a submissive housewife, she should have the right to be that. Feminists just don't seem to like when laws mandate how women ought to behave in relationships. They want women, and men, to be able to chose relationships that they see fit them best (this is why you see very strong support for the gay community from feminists). Hell, in some places spousal rape isn't even considered criminal. In Russia a couple years back they decriminalized domestic violence, making the penalty for beating your wife a mere misdemeanor/fine.
