My ex and I use Our Family Wizard for calendaring, messaging and reimbursements for several years. Works great.

Be specific on how you want any changes to be addressed. In the long run it’s often less about who has them on any given day and more about how do you communicate vacations, sick days, events.

Create a shared google calendar, and clearly mark the weeks the kids are with which parent. Add any key events in there as well.

Make your monthly schedule. Or use reminders on your phone. Works for me.

We changed our schedule a bunch, they all have their pros and cons.

We currently do a 2/2/5/5 -- works pretty well, with structure and don't go too long between visits (kids 9,7,4, so they don't want to be away from mom for too long)
