The recent spam post in this subreddit (you know the one with the "tips") inspired me to ask this.

There is never a "one size fits all" when it comes to divorce. But, I think we can all share some key pointers that will save people a lot of time and money. More than just the typical "hire a lawyer", "get a therapist" advice.

I'm thinking that if we join our brain powers we can create a curated post with advice and links to resources (maybe even by region), and older posts in here, that can help folks get started going through their divorce.

Example: I wish that I had applied to go to court from day 0 rather than being dragged through delay tactics. But, I was worried about the costs of going to court at first and was being bled dry paying for a house + legal fees (this is common).

What do you think?

If you share stuff I can repurpose this thread and start including links...🤷‍♂️
