Fragrances are personal. Go to a Macys or Nordstroms and actually put them on your skin to see how it interacts with your natural scent, then buy it on Amazon.

These aren't cheap for the most part. Believe it or not, good old fashioned (and cheap) Old Spice Classic splash (not spray) gets a lot of compliments.

If you're going to the mall, ignore the department store, find the cologne kiosk. Or, visit a flea market. Flash cash, buy more than one bottle, and haggle.

A big bottle of Armani Code is like $110 retail, got the guy to throw in a free bottle of Chrome (~$30), and suddenly it was cheaper than buying online.

TBH women just say they like what I'm wearing, it doesn't really matter what you choose! Just pick something you like yourself, something that smells manly. Please remember to use a SMALL amount of whatever you decide. A little bit goes a long way. You're trying to tease her nose, not smack her in the face with an overwhelming smell. PS it is cologne for men, perfume for women. You will look like a newbie getting these mixed up.

Don't be fooled by brands like D&G. Their colognes smell good but less-high end brands like Nautica and Lacoste have some really pleasant smelling scents.

I'm an older dude, and I can get away with a little bit heavier scent, I use "Obsession for Men" and always get compliments on it.

My last three plates would tell me that I smell "incredible". I found it interesting that no other cologne that I've worn has elicited a response like that. Other than them saying I smell nice.

Creed Aventus or Green Irish Tweed. I personally like Green Irish Tweed more, but I have gotten way more compliments from females while wearing Aventus.

Edit: You probably won't like Green Irish Tweed unless you're white af

Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier. Aftershave in the summer, one spritz of cologne in the fall/winter.

Rule of thumb: If someone comments on your cologne, whether bad OR GOOD...you're wearing too much. It should be subliminal. Like other people have mentioned, you should find ways to improve your natural scent.

I don't generally wear cologne, but I will spritz a little bit of Old Spice once in awhile. I find that they're scents are low-key and smell good, in addition to being cheaper than fancy cologne brands.

Chrome by Azzaro I would highly recommend.

Lacoste Red is good.

I've heard great things about Eau Sauvage.

I got a cheap, but great cologne from PacSun. It doesn't last long, because it was cheap though.

One guilty pleasure cologne of mine is Abercrombie Fierce, I love the way it smells.

I don't think you can go wrong as long as you find something you like and use it in moderation.

Bvlgari Black. Goes on smelling like burnt rubber(!) and evolves exquisitely from there. Good staying power. Women go nuts for it confirmed. Rated by professionals one of the best perfumes ever made.

Not a fan of cologne's myself.

I got introduced to beard oil by an ex-gf some time ago and that's all I wear. I'm a huge fan of the tea tree and peppermint scented ones. Smells great and makes my beard/face smooth AF. You can get a good-sized bottle of what I think is pretty quality stuff off Amazon for like $10.

Short of Axe, it really doesn't matter. Spend your 70 bucks, pick one you like (preferably one that everyone else doesn't own) and then relax.

It's like a logo. A good logo doesn't make a great company, a great company makes a good logo.

It's just something for girls to swoon over if they show interest in you already.
