I have been a little afraid to make this post because there is such a push in this sub particularly to not be sexually frigid. However, it is not my choice to be this way and I would like to break down those walls for the sake of my future sexual relationship and my own mental health. I looked around on this sub for answers, but it seems no one else here has this problem.

A little background:
While I was raised religious, I have made my own choice to embrace my faith. I used to feel shame and guilt surrounding masturbation when I was younger, which I feel has led me to struggling with a porn and masturbation addiction that unfortunately continues to this day. My sex drive is relatively high and my desires lean far from vanilla, but I’m not ashamed of that. I have no history of sexual assault or sexual trauma. I’m a virgin and am determined to save myself for marriage. I have only kissed my ex boyfriend, but put off having my first kiss for 8 months out of fear. We sexted often and I liked it when he’d touch me, but when we’d kiss, I’d feel closed off, unemotional, and not able to be in the moment. I felt comfortable sharing my desires and opening up more to him through text than I have face to face in person. However, thinking about initiating or expressing and acting on my sexual desire to someone in person has me all clammed up, frozen, throat tight, unable to speak, and with a tears-burning-in-my-eyes kind of panic and fear. I'm afraid of being so vulnerable.

Goals:
It very much concerns me and is distressing to think about, so I want to build a healthy sexual attitude and start my future sexual relationship on the right foot by solving this problem before it starts interfering with my relationship. I have expressed to my current boyfriend about my desire to have a sexting relationship (we are in a LDR), but he does not enjoy sexting, which leaves me at a crossroads on how I can comfortably tell him what I desire when the time comes.

What I’ve tried:
-A few years ago, I went cold turkey and was able to abstain from porn and masturbation for six months before falling back into it. It did help improve my mental state, but didn’t solve my problem.
-I have some lingerie pieces that I used to wear out under my clothes in an attempt to build my sexual confidence and to help feel more sensual and open.
-I have communicated to my boyfriend that I’m a bit shy when it comes to physical intimacy and even kissing. He’s been nothing but supportive and comforting.
-I do workout (running and barre classes a few times a week) and have an ok attitude about my own body. I’m actually naturally underweight for my height, but working to tone up and build a bit of muscle.
-My current boyfriend is very fit/muscular and I am very much sexually attracted to him.

Thank you in advance for your time and help.
