It's now very common to see people speaking up against PUA's and PUA culture. Whereas earlier? Not so much. I remember even in family friendly TV shows like Drake And Josh, PUA culture would be normalized " Getting as many girl's phone numbers in one night ".

I think its rooted in misandry. There's this idea out there that if a man is pursuing a woman or trying to initiate...he's a " predator " and he's " harassing women ". The general consensus on feminist forums is that men should instead just wait to be approached by women............which makes me wonder, how come that's not predatory as well? lol

I think the mere act of trying to strike up a conversation with another human being is one of the most basic, important skills in life. But they're now trying to put gender constraints on that. Oh its ok if a man talks to another man, but doing it to women is harassment. Trying to modify society and discourage people from talking is going to have an unhealthy effect on society.
