Some actually have.

The Ukrainian military has captured hundreds of Russian soldiers who seemingly didn't want to be there and didn't want to fight.

Supposedly this is a strategy of the Russian military though. I'm not sure how it's supposed to play out but they have some odd tactics that I guess have worked in the past for them, so they keep doing it.

Conscription and the usage of untrained (and sometimes unarmed) cannon fodder seems to be a common theme rooted in their historically large peasant population, and a lack of resources to train everyone properly.

Using young boys works for this because they don't need to be strong or capable. They just need to be physically there to eat a bullet before their more capable troops arrive behind them. Bonus points if nobody cares that they're dead because they're peasant men and are therefore basically at the bottom of the social hierarchy (it seems like they might even use minority peasant men like their Chechen units for this as well).

u/Man_of_culture_112 mentioned in a different comment (here) that if male disposability was indeed solely caused by men seeing women as weak, then Russia would fill their front lines with women instead of untrained men and boys.

But because women and girls are valued, they get a pass from all of that.
