Post the name of the restaurant. Drum up a heavily negative campaign against them over social media. I ordinarily wouldn't support that sort of reaction, but this is just a gigantically douchey position for the restaurant to hold, so fuck those assclown restauranteurs.

Should have pressed them more. Threaten them with media coverage for discriminating against LGBTQ if they continue to call your identity absurd.

If they are woke enough to discriminate against men, they should be woke enough to accept what you identify as.

I would have asked for the manager to come and tell us himself and then got my phone out to record him. I would have asked to see where the policy is written down and such questions. I suspect his attitude would have changed when he realised you were recording your name, his name, the date and the restaurant.

My previous job required a business professional dress code. I remember early on, I used to wear dress dockers but during a lunch meeting with the CFO, he said that that wasn't following dress code. So now, not only do I have to wear a choke collar but also pants that cause static. Now I have to be more uncomfortable. And with FL weather being what it is, it gets very hot as well.

But the women didn't seem to be held to the same standard. Not only were they not dressed business professional. I wouldn't even call it business casual. I've seen a few women wear SLEEVELESS blouses. That was EXPLICITLY against the dress code. When I brought this up to HR, guess what? Nothing happened. So I get grief about wearing dress dockers but women can get away with wearing sleeveless shirts even though it's against the dress code?
