Did I read this right ? 3 years of jail for murdering her child and yet the courts will continue to give the children to the mothers by default.

I think I understand single mothers now. There is no such thing as a single mother, they are married to her kid and their guilt will never allow them to leave the kid because they left the father of the child.

Sounds like a jealous woman trying to slow the flow to men's communities.

Yeah exactly this

Must be nAzIs or fAsCiStS

The point of the article to me was more about this particular guy supposedly being an asshole than ‘stopping the flow to men’s communities’ as you put it. It did ignorantly generalize when grouping MRA, red-pillers and incels together and the part about the Ukrainian draft is ridiculous. But this post is more anti-Lira (and maybe anti-redpill) than it is anti-men’s rights, focusing in large on his defending of Putin, his personal career, his spreading of misinformation and conspiracy theories, etc. Plus a lot of the things said about him were comments made not by the author, but by the experts they interviewed.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Already regret clicking on that after reading though the first couple of lines

[–]OldRedditor1234[S] 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah the hate

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We could probably free Europe from Russian gas if we found a way to harvest all that energy misandrist use on hate men.

[–]TinyDickButBigDreams 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Another men's rights = incels = PUA article it seems. Despite the fact that these groups don't even really get along, it must be nice for our opponents that they can just stir us into one amalgamation called "the manosphere." Now we're guilty for everything every incel or PUA has ever said!

Again, I retort: intersectional feminists have far more in common with TERFs than any of the above groups have with each other, yet intersectional feminists are constantly given the benefit of the doubt on their stance on trans people (despite feminist boards constantly having infestations of TERFs).

Ribeiro has noted the occasional link to bioweapon conspiracy theories on incel boards, for example, but far more talk about the perceived injustice of Ukraine’s decision to draft men into military service while allowing women and children to flee. (This outrage ignores the many women serving in Ukraine’s military, and civilian women staying behind to fight in or support the resistance.)

There is no way the person who wrote this article is simply incapable of understanding the difference between conscription and volunteering. Absolutely nobody has an issue with any man or woman who wants to volunteer to fight. What we have made very clear again and again is that we are against forcing people into military service.

Why this is a hot take in the ripe year of 2022 is completely beyond my understanding. I would think that fucking slavery would be considered universally bad in Western countries, but it doesn't look like it!

[–]Razorbladekandyfan 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"perceived injustice" jesus christ...

[–]Banake 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You see, some men voluntarely take care of babies. So it is ok to force women to take care of babies. Some men cook for their families, so it is ok to force all women to cook. God, what an imbecil.

Thank you, well said

[–]LittleDragonMaiden 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Some of the things he said about the conflict are true, but I also feel like there is some misinformation. I do agree that NATO has made Russia feel threatened quite a few times, but I disagree with him when he says that everything that Russia is doing is purely defensive. Invading Ukraine, and threatening other countries, even neutral ones, isn’t defensive.

[–]UnfurtletDawn 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Bruh, Russia was trying to put their guy as president of Ukraine.

Basically the elections were rigged and UN investigated and confirmed that it was rigged.

Then they tried to do the elections again and now the guy poisoned his opponent.

So basically Ukraine people had to overthrow the government because Russia was pushing their puppet as president of Ukraine.

[–]LittleDragonMaiden 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I agree that Russia does plenty of bad things, but I also acknowledge the NATO doesn’t have their hands so clean either. An acknowledgment of the Wests mistakes isn’t me absolving Russia of their crimes.

[–]Tank-o-grad 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

True, but it is classic whataboutism, this community is well versed in dealing with that as it's a favoured tactic of the feminists.

[–]LittleDragonMaiden -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Do you disagree that Russia is wrong to invade Ukraine?

[–]Jeet-tikader69 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No

[–]Tank-o-grad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Of course not, a war of conquest cannot be excused.

[–]LittleDragonMaiden 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So what exactly do you disagree with then?

[–]Tank-o-grad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The whataboutism of trying to claim NATO is just as bad.

You're trying to both sides are wrong a conflict because the wronged party is on friendly terms with an organisation you don't like.

[–]LittleDragonMaiden 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No one said NATO was just as bad.

[–]Tank-o-grad 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I do agree that NATO has made Russia feel threatened quite a few times

NATO doesn't have their hands clean either

That's without looking at Rol9x's comments

[–]Rol9x -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are right. However, this was a common practice in the international politics, as many nato countries did that before: the us, france, the uk... The reason for this clash is that nato didn't care at all about what russians wanted and they were also too afraid to get into a war with russia. And this is the reason why putin talked about nuclear weapons so early in this conflict: to make sure that nato countries are scared enough that they will not try anything military. Years ago, during the time of the ussr and MAD doctrine, russians were quite convinced that the us will respond with nuclear weapons to a russian conventional attack and this is the reason why they never openly did something that was not discussed with the us. At the time of the end of the cold war, some of the ussr leaders started to think that a nuclear war could have a winner and planned for such an option. The way I see it, it's a stand off and nobody wants to find out what could happen if... And I think this gives Putin the upper hand. But we can only guess, as I dont think we will find out the truth in less than 30 years.

[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I have a friend from Georgia, the one near Russia, and she says she supports the Ukrainians and that what the West is saying about the conflict.

Her argument is the same as yours. You don't invade and destroy to protect.

[–]Rol9x 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Do you know why nato invaded Iraq in 2003? They wanted to teach the Saudis a lesson to stop them financing terrorism, but without destroying the relationship with the ruling leaders or hurt their financial interests.

Russia has bigger plans than Ukraine and if they work, they can win big time. If not, they might be reduced to small pieces under american control. And this was a no brainer for Putin.

[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

She also says that from her online sources 70% of Russians support this war. So this the Russian's war on Ukraine, not just Putin's.

[–]Azihayya 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

That guy isn't worth defending, and I can honestly say that one of the only things I'm proud of about the r/mensrights community is that we are not saturated with red pill ideology. I read through that article and many of that guy's comments are deplorable. That's a man in his fifties advising men not to date women in their thirties because, quote, having children is the only thing that can validate a woman, and that single women in their thirties passed up on that to live out their hedonistic lifestyle.

[–]frenchtoast-mafia 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I agree, his comments are not about mens issues, they’re about hating women. The fact that people on this sub are defending him just shows what they truly are about

[–]MBV-09-C 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's entirely possible the people defending him haven't actually read the article to see what his views actually are, and I can't really blame them too much if they haven't. Do you know how often ignorant people conflate MRA with incels, and then further conflate incels with misogynistic serial killers? Whoever wrote this article did that literally in the tag lines before the actual article to draw people in, which already made me want to stop reading because I'm bloody tired of getting compared to mass murderers for being here.

[–]frenchtoast-mafia -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s a lot of words for “I don’t read articles because I don’t like what they contain”

Maybe they conflate MRS with incels because y’all post shit like this and defend it

[–]MBV-09-C 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Almost sounds like you're saying that getting upset over the demonization, justifies it. Bloody brilliant logic.

[–]frenchtoast-mafia 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe read the article before you try to say what the article is about

[–]PabloNovelGuy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That guy has said some truths about the bad stuff that the Ukranian all saint goberment has done; few people said so. He also stated the obvious, Putin is not crazy, is a rational actor. Lira is pushing back against the demonization of Russia as a country as some kind of irrational salvages that the media seems to push.

Demonization which is untrue, unless we are going to consider the invasion of Irak worthy of world wide financial war against the United States.

People don't talk about the bad stuff of the Ukranian goberment, so is fine if someone does so. Folks need to understand what motivates the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and I say understand, which is different with accept or be in favor of but means such a thing for some idiots.

[–]Valoxity-_- 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah im sorry, but this guy is litteraly one of the only people I would not get behind in this movement at all. He has said some outrageous shit before

[–]Adanu0 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A broken clock is right twice a day.

[–]Valoxity-_- 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sure I could agree on SOME very specific things that he believes, I just dont like the person in general

[–]doggosrbabies 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

that's horrible

[–]IronJohnMRA 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

These journalists never learn. They keep giving their opponents free advertising.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't even dislike this dude particularly but I'd be careful about associating him with ideas you want to defend bc he does so much controversial stuff regarding so many issues. Again, not necessarily things I hate but others in society will inevitably hate it and react negatively toward him and anyone/any-idea associated

[–]IronJohnMRA 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I did watch his videos in the past, but unsubscribed when he encouraged violence. He's not one of us.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This bloke sounds like an absolute champ
