I think this is why I'm so meh/unmoved by most men these days. Already married twice for a quarter century; I'm 50+, had two careers, been to 29 countries. I've lived, got a lot of experience. I'm not some dewy-eyed, innocent, naive thing and don't pretend to be. The only thing that impresses me now from men IS when they go out of their way to be kind to me personally. Otherwise, okay, you're human, I respect your basic right to exist in peace, but other than that, outta my way, I have things to do and a life to live. A big, big part of moving on after Jack's death was meeting life head on, putting irons back in the fire, getting re-involved with people and groups, and not slowing down much if at all. SHOW me you care, because words are cheap.

When words are truly beautiful, its when they have actions behind them. That is why it is difficult to stand by creators that dont practice what they preach for me.

Once I started applying this to all aspects of my life, it was easy to see the people that are all talk and people that actually give 2 cents. I’m no longer bothered by friends/bffs/relatives that talk it up but can’t deliver.

Going to be a lot of single millennial women in our 50s and 60s, maybe even more than now, because of divorce and not getting married at all. So much low effort out there.

I wish someone had screamed this in my face as a teenager so I would have avoided the people who were all talk and no rock
