I hear you brother. Mine did much the same. Just out of the blue “I want a divorce”. Refused the idea of counseling and everything. II started dating her in HS. We were together for 24 years and had 2 kids. And she just decided on her own she was done. I still don’t know why and probably never will. She was my first love and is the mother of my children so I will always care for her in some way despite the fact she tore our lives apart. But I will not be the one who takes care of her. She made her choice and I’ve made mine. The only things I ever agreed to help her with were for my kids’ benefit. Anything that was for her, I said no. It was hard and it hurt by it has to be done.

It’s good to hear you sound like you’re n a much better financial position than I was so you won’t struggle. But you’ve got to focus on you and the kid. Make sure the kid is taken care of and then make sure YOU are taken care of. That’s your world for right now. Good luck brother.
