I'm 33F, dating a 47 year old single full-time father to 2 children. I'm not sure what his salary is, but I'd assume is above 100K as he is living in a nice area, nice home, etc.

Here's my issue. We've been on 2 dates. I am in a situation where I am applying to a medical residency, I have no loans, high CC score, but am temporarily working as a medical assistant to pay the bills. I'm also living at home, and no kids.

This is where I feel inadequate. He mentions money a lot. Like, asking me what this and that specialist makes, that he wants a high earning woman, his very well paid career, etc. He also pries into my daily life. "What are you doing tomorrow? What time do you go to work?" Etc.

I'm feeling inadequate.

Is this normal for a man to be so fixated on a woman's earnings?

Opinions, ladies?
