Our society in general is much more forgiving of mothers whether they’ve abused or abandoned their kids in the past

I have experienced abuse from both father and mother. It was largely just like the op said. Dad was a physical abuser while mom was more the psychological abuser, and we had police visits about twice a week for a while. Nobody ever really did anything but tell me I was the problem. One officer even shouted in my face a few times about how I needed to LITERALLY work myself to death to make up for me. Even CPS noped out, after cops EXPLICITLY called to have me removed from home. I was fucking like 5 maybe 6 at the time (long long ago)

After that I turned suicidal. When that failed I turned homicidal. Luckily for us I was not successful, but this is exactly what happens to a lot of people. Yet everyone wonders why mass shootings and shit happen.

I have noticed it since I lived through it. From friends and relatives to therapists and strangers nobody was even remotely capable to entertain the thought that my mother might behave very differently behind closed doors when only the immidiate family was around.

Women are allowed to do it.

We have never held women to the same standards as men and we forgive mothers because we secretly know that most women have the emotional age of 16, The are emotionally retarded and have no ability to regulate their emotions.

Also a lot of women are insanely entitled and arrogant and feel as though if not for the kids they could've had a better life, Better home, Better man etc

We just don't like to tell people our mothers abuse us because on some level we think we deserve it.

A lot of children are broken by evil, Bitter women, At least when they were getting slapped they had justifications for complaining now that that rarely happens women have no issues mentally and physically abusing children and the only consequences.

In my friend group alone about 40% of them had psychotic mothers, It goes up to about 80 if they're Catholics

Women aren't accountable for their destructive behaviors. They play the victim and gaslight.

Thats why for any heterosexual relationship to work, women have to prove themselves worthy of trust and affection. While, that man pays close attention, looking for red flags, so he knows when to leave the relationship. That is a man's only real defense against toxic women, identify them and just, leave as quietly as possible.

This is 100% right. A dad can miss one soccer practice and he's a piece of shit dead beat but the mom can literally baby trap a man by forcing a kid just to use the kid as a source of income, leverage, and sympathy from society and she's a great mom.

Then she'll separate the kid from the dad, tell the kid the dad is bad and treated her wrong. And our misandric society continues.

When people hear that a mother is abusing their children, especially if that child is a boy, it's not taken seriously whatsoever. If the child were to speak out they would get these types of answers back:

"Don't worry, your mom loves you and wants the best for you"

"Stop complaining, shes your mother"

"Why are you so ungrateful? You need to respect your mother. She gave birth to you"

What are you basing this on? Do you know a bunch of children that have been abused? Where did you hear these answers to children?

Did you just make this all up?

I haven't experienced this double standard personally. If it exists, i have to imagine it's because of traditional conservative perspectives that people HAVE to respect their mothers. I'm a leftist and all my friends are leftists and they all agree thay respect is earned

I think abuse from parents goes unnoticed in many ways. Physical abuse is still quite tolerated, when the target is a boy/man.

As someone else said: "you are the problem" is quite often the reaction when it comes to boys, for both parents.
