Don’t let the title get you too excited. Not as exciting as it sounds. But I’m having a great time. 🙂 As I already shared, first date was a bust. And I agree with others here that advised no gifts on the first date.

Second and third dates were with a Russian woman. She was sweet, but not a great conversationalist. I don’t feel a particular “spark” with her, but said I’d be willing to be “walking buddies” with her. Our first date was a walk to the beach. Again, sounds much more romantic than it actually was.

Fourth date was with someone I met on Coffee Meets Bagel. For the record, the two OLD sites I think I like best so far are Match and CMB. Both for their profile moderation (the others have A LOT of spam/fake profiles) as well as the caliber and quality of women on there.

Anyway. Date #4, prior to meeting IRL, we had several multi-hour phone conversations. We definitely had the conversational vibe going. When we met in person, she was a little “curvier” than I anticipated, but not unattractive. We enjoyed a few beers and some small plates. Overall, it was a pleasant evening.

I haven’t “gotten lucky” yet, nor is that necessarily my goal. I’m just trying to sharpen my social skills after being out of “the game” for so long.

Will continue to post updates as pertinent. I don’t share these stories to brag or portray myself as some Cassanova. I just hope they give some of you a glitter of hope that are having trouble meeting people, or finding the confidence to “get out there again.” 🙂
