That's a quick rant, and english is not my first language, so sorry for any grammar faults that may find their way into this post.

As an European, I find the state of US Politics to be... worrying. The overturn of Roe.v.Wade is disgusting. It's very bad news, both for women, and for the kids who didn't ask to be born to a family that's not ready/willing to have them.

That said, the unnecessary gendering of the issue at hand is... unnerving. Between women lashing out at men for this decision, men asking for forgiveness for their own gender. At least, I can understand women saying they won't have sex while this decision is not revoked (though, contraception does exist...).

From what I've seen, more than half the support for abortion bans (and often the most virulent support) comes from women. It's not like men came together to ask for abortions to be banned, and the helpless women tried desperately to stop it from happening.

When you see videos of protesting outside of abortion centers, it's most often women doing it.

So you'll have people saying "these women are brainwashed", or "they're following what their religious leaders are telling them, and these religious leaders are men". If those leaders were women, would that make it okay?

And are they really saying that hald the women in the US are stupid, brainless and unable to have their own thought? That's sexist as hell.

Anyway, I just wanted to vent. I absolutely am for the right to chose, and I'm for expandind it where I'm from, but using it as an excuse to attack men as a gender is... frustrating.
